KYC & AML Policy

This policy summary explains how DBbet applies Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) controls for users in Bangladesh. These measures protect personal data and accounts across the platform. Procedures follow the operator’s AML/CTF framework under its Curaçao licence (OGL/2024/574/0913) and international standards.

Purpose of KYC & AML

KYC checks confirm who you are through ID verification and documents, while AML controls help prevent fraud and financial crime. The operator applies these controls to support user safety and fair play in Bangladesh.

  • Fair play based on verified account holder identity
  • Security measures that strengthen account protection and reduce risk
  • Transparency in handling funds and reporting obligations
  • Compliance with the conditions of the Curaçao licence

KYC Requirements

At registration, players in Bangladesh enter their full name, date of birth, country and address of permanent residence. Identity verification with documents is required before withdrawals or when risk checks are triggered, and further checks may follow when personal data changes. Depending on the risk level, the operator may ask for:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID: passport, national ID card or driving licence
  • Proof of address not older than 90 days, such as a utility bill, bank statement or government letter
  • A selfie, a photo holding your ID or a live video call
  • Proof that the payment method belongs to you
  • Source of funds or source of wealth information

Documents are checked within 72 hours of receipt. Video checks can take up to 14 business days, and requested documents must be sent within one month.

AML Measures

The operator applies security measures to prevent money laundering and illegal activity. Controls cover deposits and withdrawals and focus on transaction monitoring, detection of suspicious activity and reporting obligations.

  • Continuous risk-based monitoring of transactions and account activity
  • Automated detection rules and thresholds for unusual patterns
  • Enhanced due diligence for high-risk profiles and events
  • Review of large or unusual transfers before processing
  • Customer risk scoring and periodic reassessment
  • Sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) screening
  • Reporting to competent authorities where required
  • Records of checks and transactions kept for at least 5 years

Prohibited Activities

Restrictions support KYC and AML objectives and protect the platform against misuse. Any attempt to bypass identity checks or hide the origin of funds is not allowed.

  • Opening or operating multiple accounts for the same person
  • Submitting forged, altered or stolen documents
  • Attempts to launder proceeds of crime or finance terrorism
  • Manipulating systems, odds or transaction flows
  • Sharing, selling or transferring account access
  • Using third-party payment instruments not owned by the account holder
  • Misrepresenting identity or acting on behalf of another person

Consequences of Non-Compliance

If a player breaks this policy, the operator may take action under its rules and licence conditions. Measures depend on the risk:

  • Temporary or permanent account suspension
  • Freezing or confiscation of funds linked to suspicious activity
  • Cancellation of bets or winnings
  • Reporting to competent authorities where required

User Responsibilities

By accepting the operator’s terms, users in Bangladesh agree to provide accurate and up-to-date personal data and to complete identity verification on time. The account holder must answer requests for documents or additional information promptly, at the latest within one month. Only payment methods owned by the user may be used for deposits and withdrawals. Any suspicious activity should be reported to support without delay. Users should protect their credentials and turn on two-factor authentication where available.

Fair Play and Transparency

The platform upholds fair play and transparency to protect users and keep a safe environment for players in Bangladesh.

  • Adherence to KYC and AML standards and licence requirements
  • Confidentiality and protection of personal data
  • Ongoing monitoring for suspicious activity and misuse
  • Prevention of manipulation, collusion and other unfair behaviour
  • User support on safety and compliance matters
  • Shared responsibility between the operator and users
  • Equal conditions and impartial treatment for all users
